At the BET Awards, Nicki Minaj maintained her position as the “Best Female Rap Artist” for the fifth consecutive year. She beat out Iggy Azalea, among others, in the category. She gave a speech that included the line “when you hear Nicki Minaj spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it,” which many took as a shot towards Iggy, whose lyrics have been rumoured to be those of a ghost writer. Nicki took to Twitter to explain the real meaning of her speech which has a better meaning that the assumed feud we thought was building. see her tweets below.
